Savvy employers understand the importance of pre-departure & repatriation. It is essential to setup employees up for success by providing extensive cross-cultural training/coaching as part of the mobility package. This assists expatriate (and family) gain a better understanding of their own cultural values and beliefs and how culture impacts one's ability to effectively communicate and work with people from other cultural backgrounds.
