JAPANESE SAKURA - CHERRY BLOSSOMG
Chidorigafuchi (千鳥ヶ淵) is one of the most popular place to view "Sakura" cherry blossoms in Tokyo. Chidorigafuchi, moats and waterways, is northwest of
the Imperial Palace (the old Edo Castle). The best way to enjoy the Sakura is by boat, during the day or at night when the river is illuminated. When the petals fall, creating the illusion of a pink river. Other well-known locations in Tokyo for "hanami" (cherry blossom viewing), include Kagurazaka, Kanda River |
