Why
Cross-cultural Training?
|
|
|
|
Almost
everyone in business these days is working in some type of multi-cultural environment - at the office or with customers &
colleagues around
the world. The
cost to a company when communications breakdown is difficult to
calculate, but one thing is clear - the cost of preparative training is
minor by comparison. Companies
tell us they just can't find the time - personnel is too busy to take a
day or two out for training. The question you should be asking is "can we afford NOT to give employees the opportunity to
develop cross-cultural skills?" It may be the best investment you
ever make.

Our
Approach to Training
|
|
Cultural Savvy recognizes that for cross-cultural training to be effective as an enhancement to an organization it must deal with several complexities in the learning process. Just providing information is not an effective approach beyond an introductory orientation level.
To enhance an organization, its members must be able to apply new learning in the performance of their assignments, and be able to observe and make the appropriate behavioral adjustments when cross cultural issues become important to their productivity or the effectiveness of the organization as a whole.
We believe training should be a very a very interactive process
through the use of training
modules, behavioral situations, case studies, role-playing scenarios, critical incidents and
focused presentation materials.
Can
you afford not to invest in cross-cultural training?
